IMAGETEK SYSTEMS LTD has been involved with high-quality Document Imaging services (primarily scanning from source documents, books, plans and microfilm) to a wide range of commercial clients in the UK over the last 10 years.

Following a move to our own new purpose-built headquarters at Honiton in December 2004 it was decided to expand our operations into the very different area of Family History and Historical Archives. We had considerable previous experience with these types of records, and also in successful design and implementation of specialist software to optimise use of scanned images in this field, so a decision was made to extend this expertise by acquiring a new flat-bed book scanner to accommodate original books and documents up to A1 (59.4 x 84.1cm) size. The Bookeye 3 unit (made by Imageware in Germany) was finally selected and duly installed at Honiton in February 2007.
